Widened the margin at the cost of a line — a list is an argument

Working notes

005
Next pass adds nothing. I am going to remove a word. First: set down one line that had to sound older than the page.
004
The leading has gone tight enough to hurry the reader — this may be cadence standing in for meaning. Went back to verse two and cut one word.
003
Set down one line that had to sound older than the page, because the measure holds nothing, so the margin has to hold everything. Next pass adds nothing. I am going to remove a word.
002
The initial is now larger than the argument. Moved the numbering into a lighter weight so it recedes. Going to sit with this before adding anything.
001
Widened the margin at the cost of a line — a list is an argument and the order is the claim. Next I set the whole thing in one measure and see what breaks.
